Specialised translations:
During my first few years as a freelancer, additionally worked part-time assisting and translating in the legal department of an international sensor manufacturing company near Freiburg.
In-depth internship with a translation firm and subsequently started working as a freelance translator in Freiburg, Southern Germany.
Studies of translating (English/Russian/German) at the Universities of Saarbrücken and Heidelberg, Germany.
Graduation with diploma degree “Akademisch geprüfte Übersetzerin“ (Certified Translator), English/German.
Complementary subject: law (especially civil law), specialised in translations in the fields of information technology and instruction manuals.
Studies abroad at the University of Rostov-on-Don (Russia) and several months‘ internship abroad with a London publishing house. Extended trips to the USA, England, and Ireland.
Apprenticeship with a publishing house and several years of subsequent work in bookselling.
Attended a secondary school that encouraged travelling: Numerous study trips and stays abroad during my school years (USA, Russia, England). After school graduation, worked as an au-pair in London.
