Freelance jobs for film, post-production, and dubbing companies, private clients.

During my first few years as a freelancer, additionally worked part-time assisting and translating in the legal department of an international sensor manufacturing company near Freiburg.

Specialised translations (former main field of work):
Software documentation, online helps, and GUI texts, contracts,
legal documents and certificates (certified translations). Partial use of CAT tools while working on these projects (Trados, IBM TM/Open TM2).
Freelance jobs for software localisation companies, law firms, translation agencies, industrial enterprises, private clients.

In-depth internship at a translation agency and subsequently
started working as a freelance translator in Freiburg, Southern Germany.

Studies of translating (English/Russian/German) at the Universities of Saarbrücken and Heidelberg, Germany.
Graduation with diploma degree “Akademisch geprüfte Übersetzerin“ (Certified Translator), English/German.
Complementary subject: law (especially civil law), specialised in translations in the fields of information technology and instruction manuals.
Studies abroad at the University of Rostov-on-Don (Russia) and several months‘ internship abroad at a London publishing house. Extended trips to the USA, England, and Ireland.

Apprenticeship with a publishing house and several years of subsequent work in bookselling.

Attended a secondary school that encouraged travelling: Numerous study trips and
stays abroad during my school years (USA, Russia, England). After school graduation, worked as an au-pair in London.
